Trying not to get annoyed.
The students next door are having a party in their attic, which is right next to my bedroom. At the moment the music is loud but too loud (at least for inner city standards). It isn't even 10 pm and it could be that it'll be quiet at a decent time (which in my opinion is before 1 am). But from experience I'm afraid it'll be a nearly sleepless night.
Going by and asking if they can turn the music down doesn't help because they won't open door. Calling the police won't help either because they always ask if you tried going by yourself and if you say that they won't open the door the police tell you they won't go by because the door won't be opened for them either.

that it will be quiet at a decent time for once. I'm just wondering why they never throw a party on Saturdays (when the store's closed on Sunday so we can sleep in) but always during the week or on a Friday.
