Yeah, sorry, got swarmed by students while writing that post. I ordered the A1, but have been looking at reviews and stuff of the K1, just to get a general quality idea, since there aren't any hands-on stuff except for snippets from IFA 2011.
I couldn't get a satisfying answer from Lenovo reps today; basically, their sales and customer support people don't really know, they're just saying, "There's nothing wrong with the Market, your order is fine, etc." Reps haven't been responding on that forum past the "unsatisfying answer." What a crock.
Sideloading ... yeah, you probably could sideload, it's just unstable, especially when you update. In my short experience, it works for a little bit, then you have to go find another apk and redo it all over again to try to trick it.
Update:
Really cute. Tried talking to another rep (the one I think placed my order to begin with) and he didn't seem to have any idea what I was talking about (threw him the link, too), but said "the full market will be on there." I asked for some sort of proof, a link to Google confirming it, something, but then the chat was ended. Their sales department/customer service closed, but there was no warning, nothing, and a long pause between my asking for proof and the time of closing.
So I may try to cancel first thing in the morning, but I'm sure they're going to pull some cutesy "can't cancel, special order, etc." stuff. From the site:
Quote:
Canceling orders
Orders for Configure to Order PCs usually cannot be canceled because the building process begins shortly after the order is placed. Orders for products that are listed as "In Stock" (including accessories, monitors, printers and pre-configured PCs) cannot be canceled after the order is placed.
To inquire or to initiate a cancellation of your order, please call 1-866-428-4465. If you are unable to cancel your order, please refer to our return policy for additional information.

Which makes it sound like you just can't cancel, because they want that lovely restocking fee. If they shipped it to me, sure, I can kind of - [I]kind of [I] - understand a restocking fee, but not if it hasn't even left the warehouse yet.
If I can have some proof from Lenovo, I'll be happy. If not, I want to cancel, without fees, and get a Vox before the coupon runs out.
As for Netflix being available now, I hope so, my I'm rather peeved at Lenovo right now for being misleading, and why should I pay extra when I'll have to sideload, anyway?
