Kobobooks.com - upcoming releases?

Is it just me or does anyone else wish the Kobo bookstore would advertise books that are about to be released?
I have purchased a grand total of 7 books from Amazon and 2 of those were prerelease orders that I assumed Kobo wouldn't be stocking. On the day of release the books were available at Kobo (and at a cheaper price with the use of a discount code) but I had already ordered the Amazon version. If I had known they were going to be available at Kobo I wouldn't have bothered with the Amazon order. The fact that they were cheaper made it even more frustrating!
Almost every other bookstore I look at has a section for upcoming releases and Amazon send me emails with links so I can preorder.
Why doesn't Kobo do this?
