Yea, Google is going portal. Whoopie.
They're also trying to beef up their
video service, which I've been very interested in. Basically they will host your streaming bandwidth for free if you are a small-time content producer, which is very cool. I think part of it is they are going to try to be the eBay/micropayment gateway of online video ... you set up an account with Google, you pay $3 to watch Joe Schmoe's home movie (or whatever Joe wants to charge you), Google gets 50 cents and Joe pockets the rest.
