One advantage to the ebook: those who pre-ordered the Kindle version got it today. Those who preordered the hardcover had it SHIPPED today, rather than arriving today. There is a bit of a stink on Amazon about that.

What's the point in pre-ordering an ebook? Do those who pre-order get it 1 second quicker than those who purchase it after it's been released?
