So 16 hours after leaving home I arrived in Hawaii. I am only marginally complaining because I ended up in Hawaii but 12 hours on planes and 3 hours in airports is not fun. Especailly when you get up at 3:30 in the morning.

I managed, two 12 ounce cups of rooibos Plum Cinnamon, two 12 ounces cups of Three Kingdoms (A green tea of some sort from Teavana), 2 12 ounce servings of camels Breath Pu Erh, and two 12 ounce servings of Keemun on the flights. All but two of those were drunk on one flight, the one I had an aisle seat so I could get up and get hot water and go to the bathroom without disturbing anyone.

And several bottles of water. And OJ.

When I finished unpacking at the hotel I went and got a good burger, fries, and a beer. Then a nice walk on the beach which only made me wish that I had my hubby with me. Or a friend. Hawaii is a great place to travel for work but it is even better when you have someone to enjoy it with.

Off to research hikes that I can do on Friday and maybe find a whale watching trip for Saturday.
