just finished Sunday lunch. There is the apero. Sidecar, but with lime juice this time. Interesting. And all the trimmings that included shrimps to be dipped in the pink sauce. I actually made two, one with just mayo and ketchup for LittleGirl and one with Tabasco, angostura and vodka for us.
For lunch they had Gnocchi alla Romana with mâche salad (corn salad, lamb's salad, ...)
I had raw beets with a fancy dressing (greek yogurt, with lemon, onions and garlic) and finelly chopped raw black kale with a fantastic dressing, Caesar style (moutard vinegrette, lemon juice, fish sauce and the sprouts of the onion, and ... parmesan cheese on top). Refosco.
I learned a trick with kale, that is finally available here. I put the bunches in the ice bucket with a little water. I leave it outside and it keeps very green. I bought two packages Wednesday and it is still healthy. Yesterday I took away the leaves that were starting to change color and steamed them and froze them for the future. I tasted a bit of the steamed kale, and it is just very good.
I might have a coffe after that and maybe a pousse-caffé in the sense of coffee chaser. Lemoncino, armagnac, whatever ...
