Ten seconds from initial turn-on to end of first splash screen. Six seconds from there to end of second screen. Two seconds from Library ebook selection to reaching last page read - I'm at about the first 3% of the novel.

No noticeable speed-up in these steps. Yes, I'm working from Cybook memory, not the SD card - and there are only 21 ebooks on my device.

Takes one second to page-flip. Does not do multiple page flips if I hold the navigation control down. (Someone reported this "feature".) Still having an occasional "freeze" where the Cybook doesn't recognize it should flip the page but the LED goes green to indicate it's noticed my pressing of the control.

Don't do PDF or MP3, so I won't bother checking those. Don't read Asian characters so can't really tell if there's any improvement there. All my Mobi ebooks I've created using BD have *small* cover images because of the cover image problem - so I've not yet gotten anything up to test the "fix".

All I can really say is that I *hope* the power consumption has been reduced.
