The annual wave of jacarandas is beginning to sweep down the country - Brisbane was in full flower - can't wait until it reaches Grafton. The City Fathers, with great foresight, planted hundreds of jacarandas to line the streets. At the jacaranda festival, the town is in a haze of lilacy blooms, and I am in heaven.
