Hi: It's me, one of the newbies. Not sure if I am using this site correctly, however, I'm sure someone will be kind enough to point me in the right direction. But, right now I am pretty desperate and frustrated.

I NEED HELP!!!!! I need your expertise. I got this ebook that I am trying to figure out, previously owned. So far, I have managed to complete a “Hard reset”. I think that clears out internal info and settings of the previous owner, am I right? I believe that I have to be connected to a network before I can register, right?

Each time I connect the landline, I get a message back saying; “ Initiating network, dialing for local telephone number, connection failed” or “Call 1-800... report 1-800.... is not working" WHAT!!! Doesn't seem to be amaking the connection to acquire the local number.

What am I doing wrong? Such a simple process right? This is an older ebook as far as I can tell and all of the post that I see are rather old. Can anyone offer any suggestions?
