I came across flapjack by sheer chance.
A couple of months ago I had to do a blood test on empty stomach. I didn't eat from 19.00 till 14.00 the next day. I cannot go without food for more than 3-4 hours (except night time). So, when they released me, I crawled to the Addenbrookes hospital's shop, found flapjack bars. Read its content, realised it is a power booster and tried it
Since then, it became my staple diet on weekdays. For a branch with white yoghurt. Roughly 350kcal per bar. My OH doesn't like them. She says they are sickly sweet, which is true. It does the job though and I don't eat any more sweet food per day
They are sweet. I think I will have to give up on them within a month or two. I don't know why but my stomach or liver? develop a strong dislike for very sweet food. Hence I love palmiers on weekend mornings. They are dry dry dry...
