I agree. This is something which the now-defunct iRex DR1000S did extremely well. It allowed you to have multiple documents open, and switch between them with two taps of the stylus (one to bring up the document list, a second to select the document to view). This was great when you were referring to multiple documents at once, as you often are in a business or academic environment.
