Hello. If your iPod is 8 Gigabytes and you think that it's a #rd generation, well, I'm sorry but... no. Apple did not create any. That was a marketing mistake by some companies like best buy. The "3rd gen" ipod is actually and 2nd. If it is a 16 gb, same thing. 32 gb: that depends. Check atthe apple website. 64 gb is a 3rd gen. Hope this helped!!!!
