I suggest using the Connect to Folder feature to connect calibre to the folder you want the books to go to. It will treat the folder you connect to as a device and you will have virtually all of the benefits of any device plugin.

If you can't get the connect to folder feature working it is because your device is not being seen as a USB drive.
