I find the site to be very authoritative but if they are wrong you should email them and let them know.
We may be talking slightly at cross-purposes. I was talking about downloading Overdrive library books. I'm pretty sure that Dropbox can be used from the Kindle's browser, but ask in the Kindle forum to confirm this - I haven't tried it personally.
