Thanks, Novou, for answering my question. I noticed after I posted that it's only after using Calibre that the Shorttlist is wiped out. I tried syncing with the KOBO Desktop app, then ejected; then I tried ADE drag-and-drop, then ejected; then I tried sideloading by drag and drop, then ejected. With each of those methods, the Shortlist remained intact. It seems as though Calibre is the erasing culprit. I guess I just won't use Calibre with my KT, until the problem is resolved.
