Now that I've thought about it I think reading about the new show 'Unforgettable' was what got me thinking about this. I've read some reviews/comments that mention that the show didn't really show how messed up a person with perfect memory can be. It got me wondering if there's a lady-Monk character out there.

Monk is such an eccentric character that it's hard to imagine a similar series, although I'd be interested in one with a Lady-Monk character too.
Since you mentioned Holmes, you might like the Mary Russell series by Laurie R. King starting with
The Beekeeper's Apprentice.

It is also showing as being added to Amazon, before 1st To Die was added.

I started with this series when I purchased a 5-book bundle. After that I've borrowed them from my local library. Many of Patterson's books have collaborating authors which is how he's so prolific. Most of the books in this series are with Maxine Paetro (except the first few) so the writing is consistent.
