I also pre-ordered kindle touch at its release day, but I'm considering canceling it. My reason for it is that I'm quite happy with the new K4 NT. With the keyboard shortcuts for entering texts, it's sufficient for me to do a quick one word search, which is all I'll ever do for entering texts. I can also make K4 water/sand/dirt proof when needed by simply putting it into a sandwich ziplock bag or something. The one hand operation for accessing all the ereader functions menu is also a plus. And not to mention that it is the lightest of all the ereaders out there.
All of the those lead me to think that a touchscreen on a ereader might not be the best option for me.
