It does not make much sense to me. If they added something it would make the Ideapad A1 more expensive and the cheapest model with 2Gb was already raised from $199 to $229 before it went out of market (temporarilly as they say). $229 is already a hard price to compete with a $199 Kindle Fire, if not to say a non-competitive price. Anything above that means Lenovo has given up on trying to compete with the kindle fire.
If it came with no camera or mic, maybe it could compete with the Kindle fire, for a lower price, with the advantage of not being inside the Amazon cage...
