No, it makes no difference if all the consumers removed the DRM, that
would not effect things, at all. It does matter if one thief posts a readable
copy to the internet, without regard to how the thief may have obtained the
copy that he/she posts.

A DRM scam that could not be removed would cost far more sales for that
ebook than would be lost from the "casual pirating" to "friends" that they so
fear.
