DON'T peel off your screen protector just yet

DON'T peel off your screen protector just yet. For those of you contemplating getting one of those after-market thin-film screen protectors, don't bother, because Amazon has sent you a perfect one.

Take a razor blade (or X-Actor, scalpel, etc) and carefully trim all around the bezel, peel off the outside bits, and use a credit card to work out the air bubbles that remain. What you end up with is a screen protector that fits perfectly and is practically invisible.

Hint: if you have lots of bubbles to begin with, don't start cutting just yet. Partially peel off half the cover from the top (leaving the bottom half the screen stuck-on) and slowly stick it back using a credit card to avoid bubbles. Do the same for the left side, then bottom, then right until most of your screen is bubble free. Now you can start cutting.

I just did it on my new Kindle NT that just arrived and the results came out absolutely perfect. It takes very little skill, just patience and a light steady hand. As always, YMMV.
