First off, Coolreader is in my opinion the best reader app out there for Android.
(I like it even better now that I've finally managed to get it to see a css file and use the font I want, with help from this forum!)
I just have one problem...my apologies if it has been asked before, it's an awfully long thread. I am using Coolreader 3.0.51-7 on an HTC Incredible, running CM7 nightlies, and my tap zones are configured so that a long or short tap anywhere on the right side (in landscape mode)
should go forward one page, and anywhere on the left side
should go back one page. All page animations are disabled. None of the soft buttons are configured to do page turning, nor is the volume control.
Nevertheless, a tap on the right often pages
back a page, and pages are sometimes skipped when it does go forward. Sometimes it takes three or four tries to get it to the page I actually want.
Has anyone else seen this, or does anyone know what is going on? It looks to me like a swipe anywhere on screen will also page forward or back, depending on swipe direction, and there's no way to disable that. But I could swear I'm not swiping when it pages in the opposite direction from what I want, and that wouldn't account for the multiple page turns anyway.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Edited to add: I'm not quite sure yet, but I think updating to 3.0.51-22 may have fixed the problem! For some reason it wasn't appearing in "My Apps" so I wasn't getting the update notification until I did a search for Coolreader in the Market.
Edited again: Nope, not perfect yet, but better. I'd wonder if it was different for different books, but I don't see how it possibly could be.
