Cruise is the wrong actor for this. He doesn't have the ability to be Reacher.
In some ways, he is always Tom Cruise instead of the character.
Reacher has said he has hands the size of hams. How's that going to look in the movie with small hands.
I really don't understand this at all, but I bet it is a package deal with the studio.
