hmm... isn't Amasis one of the default fonts for Nook? I remember my Nook's(no longer have it) font looked slightly bolder than Kindle's. Caecilia looks fine to me and it's supposed to be one of the most easily readable fonts available, which is why amazon chose it. although I might give Amasis a try just out of curiosity.
