It's almost as if they're trying to take care of their customers and learn from their past mistakes... I'm not sure I'm over the shock yet.
On a somewhat related note, the replacement 950 acts new as well. Turns pages and reacts to input way faster than the old one did for months before it gave in, and no difficulties at all moving my library over. All's well that ends well.
