The replacement K3 I got a few months ago was just a hair murkier than the K3 it was replacing (that was ordered the first day of release). I don't know if that was due to Amazon cutting costs by ordering a cheaper grade of screen or not. It was close enough that I'm willing to accept that it was just a matter of "batch A" being a little bit different from "batch B."
Too bad the e-ink technology hasn't advanced enough in the last year or I'd have ordered a new unit to enjoy the same wow-factor that I got when upgrading from the K2.
