That's good. A couple of years ago the fire was out of control in the catchment and jumped Lake Burragorang and threatened the towns just west of us. The only way in was by helicopter. They took off from outside our house and were doing runs every five minutes for about a week. Hundreds of firefighters were airlifted in and out.

Growing up in the bush down under leaves you immune or paranoid to/of spiders

They are everywhere. We leave 'em be. We have the big huntsman which are harmless and common black house spiders.
