SCION, it's another shade of red. No pink...no magenta... It could all depend on the lighting in the room. I use a fluorescent bulb (60 watt I think) to read. I haven't taken it out into direct sunlight yet. I could do that tomorrow. The red of the body does match my cell phone, which I am very happy about. Glad I bought the red one.
