If you like Chapters, then stick with your Kobo. The alternative is to buy a Sony and keep sideloading things the way you've been doing.

Re: Kobo support...It doesn't sound like the problem's on their end, anyway.
Agreed Doc - that's probably why I would buy another Kobo. Tech support is atrocious all over the place these days. There's that age-old joke that when you call tech support, they just always have you re-boot (or on our case, a factory re-set!). I like having the ability to just exchange it at the store.

While there may not be a bug with their desktop app, you'll see a lot of posts on this forum that there are problems with it and people rarely use it. Could be the PC used, user error, the books downloaded, cables, connections and various other things. All I know is that the desktop app (while a pain in the ass) has worked fine for me up until about 2 months ago. I've had my Kobo for a year now. Since I have the same PC and the same brain (although the brain cell count may be lower), chances are, they've done something to it to cause synching problems with certain books or users. It worked fine once I did a factory re-set last time, so I may have to do that again at some point. Just not NOW while I am in the middle of a good book!!!
