I thought some people here had mentioned using grooveIP, but I didn't pay too much attention...?

I have had some success with my usual combination of gvoice, gv-callback, csipsimple (but this way requires a SIP account terminated to an actual north american DID - i.e. to work, needs a real phone number capable of ringing a SIP device)

but the quality is not the best and not every call works. which is a little funny since exactly the same setup works almost perfectly on my VM670 (regardless of if it's on wifi or 3g)
