Hi Lisa, I think this is better posted in the
Kindle Fire forum as this thread is for one of the Kindle E Ink models.
1) The Kindle Fire might be able to run 3rd party Android apps that allow you to read ePubs. i doubt the Nook app will be available though. So though it might be possible to read Nook ePubs it probably won't be easy as it will most likely require stripping the DRM and converting.
2) The Kindle Fire does support MP3 and audio books and it does have a headset jack.
