Yes, it's worth registering. I'm very happy with the number of free books I've gotten from them--not this current set particularly, as I'm not into SF and fantasy, but previous books have been interesting (Shoeless Joe, The Graduate, Brave New World, The Wheel Spins, etc.)

The main problem is that one batch of three freebies this summer simply would not download, no matter what, and after an initial response from Copia that they were working on it, no one ever heard from them again. So that soured people on it. But then someone posted an alternative way to get the books going through the "settings" tab.

I would hesitate to buy books from Copia because of the downloading problem and the lack of customer service (plus the books are available elsewhere anyway); I haven't used any of the social features; but I like the free books!

I appreciate that Copia has not shared my e-mail address with anyone else--I know this because I used an alternative address strictly for Copia, and that address has not received mail from any other entity.
