Prevent covers from being downloaded?

Is it possible to prevent Calibre from searching for and downloading cover images when it is downloading metadata? I have a large number of scanned books which all have covers embedded within them, so I'd rather not waste time during the metadata download on finding cover images (or worse, having my scanned covers replaced by downloaded ones!).

There doesn't appear to be an option to do this in the Metadata Download prefs. I have tried setting the "cover priority" of all the sources to 0 or -1 in the hope that this would do the trick, but no luck.

Thanks,

Garry
