Where do I hang things on these branches?

When I used Calibre to send a book to my SD card it automatically put it in the directory I posted above, i.e. [SD drive:]\Sony_Reader\media\books
It sounds as if Calibre must have created the directory first, before copying the first book. Calibre may have chosen this structure because it's the same as the one used by default in internal memory. There is no reason why you can't do the same. Manually create the
media\books subdirectories under the
f:\Sony_Reader directory, using your File Explorer program whilst the T1 is connected to the PC.
Although based on what log said above, maybe you can create any directory you want and copy the books there. It sounds as if the Sony will find them whereever you put them. However, I would avoid putting books in any existing directories which contain other files, because those may well be Sony system files.
