But why is the '--imagerescale 0' flag still allowing mobiperl to try and reduce the image size (in total bytes) to below the Palm OS .prc limit? Does the iLiad have this limitation as well? What about Mobipocket Reader on the PC?

Most, if not all, of HarryT's illustrations exceed this for the .prc versions he prepares.

Are you being cautious in your mobiperl coding or is there a problem with non-jpeg images being used?
