I also have the latest version of Calibre and it does not "see" the T1. Is this because Calibre is not yet T1 ready or, again, am I doing something wrong? Calibre "sees" my 300 just fine.
I'll be using the T1 tonight, 11-7 shift this week so a lot of reading time...fingers crossed hehehe...

You need the beta version of Calibre. See
this thread for a discussion. Download, run the wizard, and choose 'Generic Eink Device'.
Tap and hold in the library view to delete, or hit 'menu' for the delete option to delete multiple books.
Don't use the Sony Library software. Just don't.
