I live in the Netherlands and just had my K3 replaced because the screen was defective. They send it to you at NO costs to you (they will charge your credit card for the new Kindle, shipping and import and refund the same amount, in my case that cost me only about 3 euro's because of the difference in exchange rate and the charge & refund happened on the same day) AND they will
refund the return shipping as well so it costs you next to nothing. I called them last Wednesday night, got the replacement yesterday and sent the defective Kindle back today.
So if you're worried about shipping or anything like that, don't, just call them and see what they say. If they don't replace it, too bad, but I wouldn't be surprised if they will and it won't cost you (except the phone call and difference in exchange rates)
