Tested the new beta version with poor mixed results. Maybe I need to set something that I did not do correctly. Here are my results (+ equals good and - equals bad):

T1 connected to computer

1. - Calibre Welcome Wizard does not show the T1 so I selected "SONY > All other SONY devices".

2. - SD card not Shown/recognized (it was previously shown when I created a "User Defined USB driver" in both the first beta and the old Calibre versions).

3. + The Device view showed all previous books and their Collections column correctly (Collections were not seen in Calibre under the previous "User Defined USB driver").

Copied 2 files with 4 tags to T1

4. + The Device view showed the 2 new books along with their Collections.

Ejected the T1 Reader and viewed the Reader

5. +- A new Collection was created from one of the tags. It originally showed the 2 books in the Collection, but the Reader was still working and removed the books from this collection automatically after the Reader finished loading.

6. - A duplicated Collection was created from a tag (unpopulated). The original Collection retain all its books.

7. - None of the newly added books appeared in any Collection. Again this was probably caused when the T1 removed them on loading.

Reconnected the T1 Reader to the computer

8. + The 2 books still appeared in the Device view

9. - The Collections column showed all the previous device collections but not the 2 newly added books (blank Collections). This makes sense since the Reader removed the books from the Collections when it started up.

Ejected the T1 Reader and viewed the Reader

10. - The new Collection and Duplicate Collection were still unpopulated and neither of the 2 newly added books belonged to any Collections.

Reconnected the Reader and removed the 2 newly added books

11. + The new and duplicate Collections were removed.

Like I said maybe I missed something to set up with the new driver but it is not working very well for me.

So to summarize I see three problems:
1. The SD card is not shown / detected.
2. The Reader removes the books added to Collections when it starts up.
3. An existing Collection was duplicated when a book with that tag was added.
