Overeating is not contibuting the greatest measure towards the current trend of obesity.
Less excersize than any population in the history of mankind is by far the biggest factor.
People not dying from previously mortal injuries and illnesses - which now leave them debilitated in their capacity to exercise even if they desire to, and stuck using meds which have weight gain as a side effect is also a factor greater than over eating.
