I have had a problem with fast page flipping that I had on the PRS-650 also. I slid my finger most of the way across the screen touching the side bezel at the end of the swipe and my pages started quickly flipping even though I had lifted my finger at the end of the swipe. It did not stop flipping until I hit a page button. Then the touch screen would not respond. The reader responded to the buttons but not touch. I turned it off and on but got no touch response. I then plugged in my PRS-650 charger to the USB port and the reader began responding.

No idea what was going on there.
