Unexplained battery drain (6-12hours), software glitches (could not put the reader in the sleep mode, instead kept opening random books, changing wallpapers, displaying message: do you want to completely power off (shutdown device) etc.). I updated software, it helped but only for a while, I did numerous soft and hard resets. I sent the reader to Sony Service, they sent it back saying that it could not find any faults. I removed all memory cards, while charging I reject the device first before disconnecting.
Now after another hard reset I cannot switch it on, after soft reset it cannot go in sleep mode, again displays message about powering off. I think I have lost my patience.

I'm having the same problems as Bernardpar...I purchased my prs-650 in March of this year. I love my reader and don't really want to replace it with something else so I've just sent an email to Sony. Hope to hear back from them soon. Boy, am I glad that I saved my previous prs-300 as a backup!
