Besides writing a blog about my reading challenge this year and my plans for next year I've been trying to find an affordable but good hotel in or near the city centre of Dublin. My sister and I are planning on visiting the city for 5 or 7 days in April or May next year. The fact that it's so far away doesn't make searching easier.

So, if anyone has any tips they are welcome.

Our wish list: we want an affordable but good hotel. We're not expecting it to be four star, as long as it's clean and the staff is friendly we're happy. It doesn't have to be right in the city centre, we won't mind walking a maximum 20 minutes or so to get there. We also like to have easy access to public transport for when the weather's not nice or if we want to visit something a bit further from the hotel. Free internet access (not necessarily in the room) would be a big bonus.
