I think B&N is declaring war on DC, not Amazon. Pulling DC from B&N won't hurt Amazon; if anything, it will help them. But it will hurt DC, potentially.

And I think attacking DC is the appropriate response. There will be no Amazon exclusives if publishers/authors don't believe they'll make more money that way. To the extent that this cuts into their profits, this might work. (Although it obviously will be less effective with e-book only authors).
