The first book in the DI Lorne Simpkins set of books. It was a page turner, I read it in two nights as I just wanted to keep going. Even though the murders were gruesome, Mel doesn't go into gory detail like some authors do which, in my opinion, made for better reading.
I look forward to reading more of Lorne's cases, but I hope she gets a few days off as even I was getting tired by her hard work and long hours.

Cruel justice is as good as Impeding Justice and Final Justice. This is becoming a gripping series to read it keeps you on the edge of your seat every button press to turn the page on your kindle. What is it with Lorne and French speaking men Hehe!
Mel you are writing and creating a good series that is keeping people wanting to keep reading and getting on the started blocks to rush out to get the next book, because they have bitten their nails down to their elbows wondering what is going to happen to Lorne Simpkins next.

Such a gripping read! I read it in a day because I had to know what was going to happen next!

There were so many twists and turns. Mel Comley is an amazing person and writes in such a way that it can only be described as breathtaking! She never fails to have me gripped from the first page.
I would definitely recommend this book! It's beautifully written, the characters are really believable and the crimes were so gruesome! The relationship between Lorne and Pete never failed to make me smile.
