There is nothing about reading lights in the French. It's a mistranslation. What they're saying is that while the quality and comfort of electronic ink make it the ideal platform for electronic reading, the inherent slowness of the e-paper technology puts off users who are used to the responsiveness of LCD touch tablets such as iPad.
Then they go on to say that the Cybook Odyssey is the first ereader to have the High Speed Ink System (HSIS) technology developed by Bookeen, with a screen responsiveness never achieved with E InkŪ.
In other words, it seems the screen is not E Ink. But they don't say what it is
