If you don't mind being locked in, there's no reason why you shouldn't pick either.
Personally, I wouldn't go for Apple, but that's because I don't like Apple's heavy handed censure (and I refuse to install itunes). But, if you don't care too much about that, I'd say go to a store and handle both. And then see which one works the best for you. They're both quality products.
