Such an addon would first list all your authors (or at least those that meet a set minimum of books). Then, selecting an author would bring you to a list of all books by that author. From there, of course, you can open any of those books.
Reason I ask is, I have coded a basic version of this already, but am unsure of whether to develop it further. Non-touch devices already have an author list built-in, but perhaps touch device users would find some use in having similar (though more rudimentary) functionality.

It would be great! I always wanted a such subdivided library on reader, it sounds like ipod library on 3 levels Author/Album/songs, for Books it could be Author/Series/books.
By the way, the second feature I always wanted from the library of an ebook-reader is the ability to show the Description in epub's metadata. Do you think it would be possible to implement?
