Mr Whippy, I think you must have misunderstood some points Harry did say.
How does your email program behave when it opens new mails? Does it open them in a separate window or in the existing one? In the first case you won't be able to use a Kindle to read emails because its browser can't open a new window. In the second it would be possible.
As you're coming from France: have you thought of the Cybook Orizon? It has wifi and input. Maybe you can - if you're interested in this device - ask questions referring to its email capabilities in the Cybook subforum.
