I'm generally in favour of cloud (with local cache) solutions - I think the benefits outweigh the disadvantages - however I get as annoyed as the next chap by some of the daft implementations.
Zinio. Love it. Cloud solution, magazines downloaded to my phone. But really... I have to go out of the café to get a 3G signal just to open the app so that I can read the magazines previously downloaded???
