I don't have much of an idea on this one. I might be tempted to reload the default reader app, but if you're not comfortable with techy activities then reloading the whole system might be a decent alternative .
Be sure to save any data you have loaded to your PB701, as depending on firmware releases your data can be lost. I tend to keep my data on SD cards, and have one dedicated to loading firmware. Complete overkill for a minor issue but it gives me peace of mind.

Troll05 gave you the 206 firmware URL, check here for others. I'm on 211 and contemplating 212rc, but some have issues with 211.

I like Coolreader3 (CR3) a lot, and it's mostly what I use. I'm using CR3 0.50.3 at the moment, but doing an upgrade is easy and the next time I download data to the PB701 I plan to send over a CR3 upgrade. BTW, be sure to use the User Guide that comes with the firmware version you run. For instance, the 211 firmware user interface is somewhat different. The 212CR User Guide improves the doc a bit, but I haven't gotten around to installing it yet.
